Mount Gilboa is located above the Harod and Beit Shean valleys. In the spring, the area is carpeted with flowers, among them the famous Gilboa iris. The Gilboa Ridge is situated 650 meters above sea level, and, because of its proximity to the Great Rift Valley, its slopes are precipitous.
Beit Hashomer Museum was founded in 1968 in kibbutz Kfar-Giladi in order to present the history of Hashomer and Bar-Giora groups and their role in the settlement, weapon collection and defending the Yishuv.
The stream lies within the nature reserve with a dramatic canyon cut into the hard basalt rock providing dramatic views. In the nature reserve there are several trails, of varying difficulties.
