Shoshana Blovstein 1889-1975 was born in the city of Saratov on the banks of the Volga River, in the Russian Empire, to her parents Isser-Leib and Sophia Blobstein. Writer and musician. Her famous sister was the poet Rachel.
In 1909 she immigrated to Israel, with her sister Rachel. She was a student at Hannah Meisel’s Farm.
She died in Tel Aviv, at the age of 87, on 18 Kislev, 1936, November 22, 1975 and was buried in the Kiryat Shaul Cemetery. In 2011, her bones were transferred for reburial to the cemetery on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, and was buried next to her sister Rachel.
